The iPhone 7 may not be the newest model on the market, but that doesn’t mean it can’t take advantage of the most recent major update to iOS 14. The software upgrade, which first became available last year, brings a slew of new features and enhancements to Apple’s mobile operating system, many of which are available on the iPhone 7.

One of the most noticeable changes is the lack of home screen pages. Instead of swiping through multiple pages of apps, iOS 14 reorganized apps into a single page, with the ability to categorize apps into folders.

Another major change is the introduction of widgets, which are digital windows on your home screen that give you access to information without having to open an app. For example, you can view the weather, recent news, and other frequently-used data at a glance.

The new operating system also improved the Messages app and enhanced privacy features. You can now reply to messages directly from the notification tray, as well as quickly mute unwanted conversations. Other updates like App library and picture-in-picture video also further simplify the user experience.

Of course, the most exciting iOS 14 feature is the ability to download and install apps and games right from the App Store. With the previous version of iOS, users had to plug their iPhone 7 into their computer in order to download apps. Now, they can download right from their iPhone.

Though the iPhone 7 may not be at the cutting edge of technology, it still has plenty of life left in it thanks to the recent update to iOS 14. It’s never been easier to stay up-to-date with the latest apps and features on your device.
